Today’s puzzle took me to a burrow of nostalgia and gave me the Munchies.
First, my two blind alleys thought I was looking for pirates and then thought there was a group connected to the classic rock acts Elton John and Deep Purple, which I renounced after randomly adding silver and rock to that list and tearing an assumption.
John and Silver also made me think of fish and french fries, thanks to the restaurants of Long John Silver, something that is certainly never far from my thoughts.
The key that unlocked the four groups was the cardinal. The letter “Cardinal Landing in the Dogwood” of Old friends By Pinegrove it appeared in my head, I remembered that they are red and the tomato sauce is red and, from there, everything fell in its place and got into my way home without another error, although I thought that butter, eggs, flour and sugar were a reference to the pancakes, instead of a sponge cake.

What are NYT connections?
Nyt Connections is one of the several increasingly popular words games made by the New York Times. It challenges him to find groups of four elements that share something in common, and each group has a different level of difficulty: green is easy, yellow a little harder, blue often quite hard and purple generally very difficult.
On the positive side, he technically does not need to solve the end, since he can answer it for an elimination process. In addition, you can make up to four mistakes, which gives you some space to breathe.
However, it is a bit more involved than something like Wordle, and there are many opportunities for the game to move you with tricks. For example, be careful with homophones and other words games that could disguise the answers.
It is playable for free through the Nyt Games site in desktop or mobile.
