A new Nyt Strands puzzles appears at midnight every day for their time zone, which means that some people are always playing ‘game today’ while others are playing ‘yesterday’. NYT Strands Today (game #400) – The answers
The responses to today’s threads, game #400, are …
- SATYR
- TRITON
- TAP
- CENTAUR
- Jackalope
- Spangram: hybrid creature
- My qualification: Hard
- My score: 2 tracks
It seemed complicated to get going today and it didn’t help me much when my first track gave me satyr, a mythical beast that I had never heard about.
It was not until the second word that knew what we were looking for and completed the search after landing the long spangram.
To save you in Google, and you may not want if you value a clean search history, a satyr is a “comically horrible” man who has the ears of a horse or goat (depending on whether you are Greek or Roman) and a prominent part of the magical body in which he likes to balance a glass of wine.
A jackalope, meanwhile, is a creature with rope with horns, a Merman is the male equivalent of a siren, a centaur has the torso and head of a man and the body of a horse; And a Griffin is a mythical combination of a lion and an eagle, but he knows chicken.
How did you do it today? Avise me in the comments below.
