NYT Strands Today (game #456) – The answers
The responses to today’s threads, game #456, are …
- PLUM
- CHERRY
- STEAK
- HEIRLOOM
- ANNIVERSARY
- Lunchbox
- Spangram: tomato
- My qualification: Easy
- My score: 1 track
I thought the song “In the vine” originally referred to the grapes, so I started looking for wine varieties. When I found none, I took a track and gave me a plum. Then I found Cherry. At this stage, I thought we were looking for fruit (it is not that cherries or plums grow in the vines).
The penny, or should say plum, finally fell when I saw the meat flash and I thought “that is not fruit.” That said, two of these types of tomato were new to me, since I had not heard of Jubilee or Lunchbox.
All this made me wonder what kind of tomatoes people throw people at the Annual Tomatina Festival in Spain and the answer is a variety of Valencian pear that is too mature for additional softness. Rock above with some supermarket cherry toms and will be prohibited for life.
How did you do it today? Avise me in the comments below.
