A new Nyt Strands puzzles appears at midnight every day for their time zone, which means that some people are always playing ‘game today’ while others are playing ‘yesterday’. Do you want more words based on words? Then, look at my nyt connections today and Quordle Today pages for suggestions and answers for those games, and Marc Wordle Today’s page for the original viral word game.
Spoiler warning: Nyt Strands information today is below, so don’t read if you don’t want to know the answers.

NYT Strands Today (game #454) – The answers
The responses to today’s threads, game #454, are …
- Crunchy
- CLAW
- SHORTEN
- Pin
- BAND
- SPANGRAM: HAIR ACCESSORIES
- My qualification: Easy
- My score: Perfect
Today’s Spangram was like a large scrunchie that took a large part of the puzzle.
Unlike Bobby Pins, today’s words describe hair ornaments. I struggled to see Barrette, since this is known as a hair slip in the United Kingdom, but the rest was easy to detect.
As the father of two girls, I am fully aware of the world of hair accessories and I have been a model/victim arranged for my daughter’s experimentation. It is an activity, together with the painting of my nails, both found completely hysterical.
It is also the reason why I interact with Buzz Lightyear and the scene in the first Toy history Film where Sid’s sister steals it and becomes Mrs. Nesbitt for the purposes of a doll’s tea party: “A minute you are saving the galaxy, and suddenly you supposedly find Downing with Marie Antoinette and her little sister.” That is paternity.
How did you do it today? Avise me in the comments below.
Yesterday’s Nyt Strands responses (Friday, May 30, game #453)
- FORWARD
- ADVOCATE
- GOALIE
- STRIKER
- Midfielder
