NYT Strands Today (game #431) – The answers
The responses to today’s threads, game #431, are …
- STRIKING
- ELEGANT
- EXTRAVAGANT
- DELUXE
- FLOWERY
- LAVISH
- Spangram: Ooh bright
- My qualification: Moderate
- My score: 1 track
I fought to start the search for elegant things today and used a track. Gaudy put me on my way and the double Z unlocked Snazzy.
What this puzzle really needed was a spangram that gave us a turn for a greater distraction.
Ooh Shiny is one of those phrases of universal memes, whose origins have been lost in the mists of time: it could be Pokémon or the Simpsons, it could be the tick or Minecraft, the cast of Firefly or Gustav Kilimt. Who knows? Gemini ai certainly does not, explaining that: “The phrase ‘bright’ has probably gained traction through its use repeated by several characters that embody a child or animalist attraction towards bright and bright things.”
As an easily distracted person, I fall a lot about “bright ooh” enough, although it is often a package of something that I can eat.
How did you do it today? Avise me in the comments below.
