NYT Strands Today (game #394) – The answers
The responses to today’s threads, game #394, are …
- Showers

- Robins
- POLLEN

- Flowers
- Spangram: Springtime
- My qualification: Easy
- My score: 1 track
There are some interesting cultural differences in current threads that make it a bit strange to someone from the United Kingdom.
Robins are something that we associate with Christmas, while puddles are a phenomenon throughout the year thanks to the combination of incessant rain, poor drainage and careless street maintenance.
Meanwhile, flowers are a global spring sign and now, during the few weeks when fruit trees explode in flower, they are often accompanied by people who take selfies in front of them.
Initially I thought this was a thing of tourist social networks: during the weekend at the Hyde Park in London, I went through a tail of couples waiting for their turn to take snapshots in front of a particularly fine cherry, but extends everywhere. If they were in flower throughout the year, there would be much less uproar.
April also marks the return of the wasps and their long -term horror campaign against the human race.
There are 120,000 different species of wasps in the world (the most common in the US. They are the yellow) and the only place in the earth where they do not exist is Antarctica, a place where spring does not happen at all.
