NYT Strands Today (game #422) – The answers
The responses to today’s threads, game #422, are …
- Wad
- TORTOISE
- NUT
- CORE
- NAUTILUS
- ARMADILLO
- Spangram: shells
- My qualification: Hard
- My score: 2 tracks
I found today’s threads one of the most challenging for a while and needed a couple of clues to take me through the line, and even with the tracks it was difficult for me to see the nucleus and the Nautilus.
“I have covered you” immediately made me think of covers and cases, but I did not think that we were looking for shells.
The first word I saw in the grid was Coat, which I thought would surely be one of the words we were looking for.
Instead, it was a coat anagram that was correct and Taco confused me even more. Tortoise reaffirmed the subject, but after obtaining the spangram and the walnut blank.
How did you do it today? Avise me in the comments below.
