Happy birthday, threads: I met you when you were a small puzzle of beta words and you have not changed at all.
Well, that is not strictly true: for something that follows a basic format of words search, Strands manages to be much more challenging than the sum of its parts and because it is often disconcertingly difficult (does anyone remember the spangram of the diacritics last year?) Makes the player feel much more intelligent than he should do when it is easier (like cereal).
I love its randomness, simplicity and peculiarities, for its frustrations, strange cultural differences and a constant reminder that my spelling is terrible.
