NYT Strands Today (game #402) – The answers
The responses to today’s threads, game #402, are …
- WATERMELON
- Rúcula
- AVOCADO
- CAULIFLOWER
- Spangram: four syllables
- My qualification: Easy
- My score: Perfect
A lovely and quiet edition of Strands with a powerful Spangram snake, eating a good part of the puzzle.
The most difficult finding for me was the arugula, which I know in the United Kingdom as rocket.
The arugula is, along with two other floors with four syllables, Granada and Radicchio, something I never end. I like all three, but I can also live easily without them. Avocado, on the other hand, I can’t live without him.
All this reminds me of the brilliant sketch in Portland (Look for it on YouTube if you have not seen it) starring Steve Buscami as the poor marketing man in charge of making the celery viral.
In a 2025 sequel to Buscino’s unfortunate connection with the spooky bacon, I can imagine doing anything to carry the celery in a wire puzzle, only to be frustrated by a rule of four syllables suddenly imposed.
How did you do it today? Avise me in the comments below.
