The first word I saw in today’s grid was sauce and taking into account the subject, I was sure it would be correct.
Then I remembered the chips difference from the United Kingdom: shortly, fried potatoes = chips, chips = fried potatoes, ketchup = sauce, and we deduced that we were looking for things where the chips could immerse (or fried potatoes).
However, there is a lot of controversy in thread selections, regardless of their nationality. Hummus is not something that you kill chips surely or fondue, which is served with bread cubes.
Anyway, this was a fun search for interesting words. I don’t think I would have found the tzatziki bright and bright without the help of my last word.
