I do not think I have reached the end of an edition of Strands and I have not yet known what it was, but that was absolutely the case today with this collection of different types of railroads.
I looked for it in Google, of course, but the theme of train day should really have invested.
The car is the best known of these railways, mainly due to their common use in movies, where we have learned that they are incredibly easy to jump and generally contain some straw or robbery loot.
They also appear greatly in the mythology of the vagabond, both real (Boxcar Willie) and imagined. In fact, there are several people nicknamed Boxcar in the magnificent list of invented vagrants names by John Hodgman (Look for it if you have a free moment), including Boxcar Ted, Boxcar Mick, Dr. Bill Stain-Chin, the Boxcar Medic and Boxcar Jones, the Boxcar Benjamin Disraeli.
How did you do it today? Avise me in the comments below.
Yesterday’s Nyt Strands responses (Tuesday, May 6, game #429)
