“Stealthily”? Maybe this had something to do with Sly & The Family Stone’s successes? Except I couldn’t think of any of his successes beyond family matterso it was quickly discarded.
A hint gave me WILY and then I linked LIKEA, but instead of heading to FOX, I headed to SHREW; “like a shrew” sounded almost like a spangram, but after getting SHREWD I realized I had missed LIKEAFOX.
From there, the board opened up and I was able to complete the game, but I would say that my painstaking game today was decidedly lacking in CAST.
