- AXIS
- PAVILION

- RIBS
- SPANGRAM: UMBRELLA
- My rating: Easy

“For a rainy day” immediately prompted me to search for coats, hats and, of course, an umbrella, but it took me a while to add ‘term’ to complete today’s umbrella-shaped spangram, which indicates a search for the many parts that make up an umbrella. There are more of them than I thought.
At first I didn’t see any relevant words after spotting the spangram, I went looking for non-game words to get a clue, but in the process I accidentally found SHAFT and CANOPY, which started me on my journey of discovery.
I am not a fan of umbrellas in the urban environment. They’re fine in the countryside or on a golf course, but navigating between a series of pointy umbrellas on a busy street is fraught with danger.

- INSECTS
- TALLOW
