NYT Strands Today (Game #617): The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands game number 617 are…
- COUNTER
- CLERK
- MANAGER
- RECEPTIONIST
- ASSISTANT
- SPANGRAM: OFFICE JOBS
- My rating: Easy
- My score: Perfect
While playing this game, two hits from the late 70s were running through my head. The first is the Boomtown Rats classic. I don’t like Mondayswhich was a bit macabre when you think about it, but it was something I used to sing to myself while doing homework on a Sunday night.
The second song was the small town anthem from Martha and The Muffins. eco beachwith its chorus of “From nine to five I have to dedicate my time to work / My job is very boring, I am an office worker” – something I can relate to in my previous life as a boring office worker.
Of all the OFFICE JOBS we’re looking for today, RECEPTIONIST has to be the most fun, especially if you have a computer screen that doesn’t look at your colleagues, leaving you free to dream of being back in Echo Beach without your nosy coworkers knowing what you’re doing.
