NYT Strands Today (Game #624): The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands game #624 are…
- GUIDE
- SERVICE
- GUARD
- grazing
- THERAPY
- RESCUE
- SPANGRAM: WORKING DOGS
- My rating: Hard
- My score: 1 track
My first hunch upon seeing the “paw patrol” topic was that we would be looking for a variety of animals with legs, but after finding “dogs” and it showing up as a non-play word, I had to reconsider. Only later did I realize that this was only part of the WORKINGDOGS spangram.
I managed to get going after watching GUIDE and SERVICE, but it wasn’t until I got a clue from GUARD that I understood what we were looking for.
After completing this list, it got me thinking about how many different roles working dogs have in the human world, and this search didn’t even include the most famous dog job of all: solving mysteries and eating Scooby treats.
Answers from yesterday’s NYT Strands (Sunday, November 16, game #623)
- THWART
- SCARF
- HEIST
- FLAT BREAD
- CELLOPHANE
- SHAWL
- SPANGRAM: THAT WRAP
