A new NYT Strands puzzle appears at midnight every day for your time zone, which means some people are always playing “today’s game” while others play “yesterday’s.” If instead you are looking for the Sunday puzzle then click here: NYT Strands Tips and Answers for Sunday, October 26 (Game #602).
Strands is the latest NYT word game after Wordle, Spelling Bee, and Connections, and it’s a lot of fun. It can be difficult, though, so read on for my Strands suggestions.

NYT Strands Today (Game #603): The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands game number 603 are…
- AMULET
- POTION
- CHARM
- WAND
- INCANTATION
- BOILER
- SPANGRAM: MAGICIAN
- My rating: Hard
- My score: Perfect
This game wasn’t really “complicated” but it felt appropriate since we are in a spooky season and today’s spangram was SPELL.
In fact, this round was very light on tricks. Remember when we had the rainbow-themed thread edit with each word highlighted in a different color? I was expecting something similar here, maybe the words SPELL disappearing before our eyes? Or at least a touch of purple and yellow.
This was not my only disappointment. I’m sure I wasn’t the only person who watched “Dracula” first, only to find out that not only did it not appear in the game but it also didn’t qualify as a word outside of the game. Curses on all your hearses.
Answers from yesterday’s NYT Strands (Sunday, October 26, game #602)
- PUMPKINS
- CORN
- FOLIAGE
- AMERICAN FOOTBALL
- HARVEST
- ORCHARDS
- SPANGRAM: AUTUMN
