A new NYT Strands puzzle appears at midnight every day for your time zone, which means some people are always playing “today’s game” while others play “yesterday’s.” If instead you are looking for the Friday puzzle then click here: NYT Strands Tips and Answers for Friday, January 23 (Game #691).

NYT Strands Today (Game #692): The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands game #692 are…
- BOAT TRIP
- PARTY
- WATER
- EVENING
- STARRY
- LILIES
- SPANGRAM: FAMOUS PAINTING
- My rating: Easy
- My score: Perfect
Completing this puzzle was pretty easy, but telling you what FAMOUS PAINTING it is describing is much more difficult.
My first thought was The starry night over the Rhône by Vincent Van Gough, but I don’t think it contains LILIES or many signs of PARTY.
If the spangram had been plural, then I would have considered it a combination of Van Gough and Monet. Unfortunately, I have a Saturday to go on so I’ll have to live with the mystery and satisfaction of a completed puzzle.
Answers from yesterday’s NYT Strands (Friday, January 23, game #691)
- NAIVE
- INEXPERIENCED
- GULLIBLE
- GULLIBLE
- SIMPLE
- SPANGRAM: I WAS BORN YESTERDAY
