NYT Strands Today (Game #671): The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands game #671 are…
- INVENTIVE
- SEMINAL
- COOL
- ORIGINAL
- NOVEL
- SPANGRAM: INNOVATION
- My rating: Hard
- My score: Perfect
If you want to hear the most quintessentially British thing of all time, I recommend a long-running BBC radio program called Hang on a minute. It is a comedy panel where competitors earn points by talking about a topic for 60 seconds without deviations, repetitions or hesitations.
I mention this because “I’ve never seen that before!” It is precisely the type of topic they will be given to talk about. In his case, it was most likely stories about skating otters or banana-shaped helicopters.
I suspect no one would choose to ramble on about being INVENTIVE, SEMINAL, or NOVEL. All of them words that in today’s Strands pose quite a struggle to find.
Answers from yesterday’s NYT Strands (Friday, January 2, game #670)
- BLANKET
- SNEAKERS
- COCOA
- TUNICA
- HOME
- PADDING
- SPANGRAM: STAY WARM
