NYT Strands Today (Game #629): The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands game #629 are…
- TIGERS
- CRIMSON
- QUAKERS
- LIONS
- BEARS
- BULLDOGS
- SPANGRAM: sports equipment
- My rating: Easy
- My score: Perfect
Although I had no idea about today’s topic, I found it very easy to find all the teams starting with TIGERS, which was conveniently located at the bottom of the square.
I assumed we were looking for SPORTSTEAMS names affiliated with Ivy League universities, something that isn’t really well known here in the UK where I live.
It was interesting to see a couple of unique nicknames between the usual ferocious animals in QUAKERS, associated with the University of Pennsylvania athletic teams, and CRIMSON, which is associated with the Hogwarts team…
…and Harvard.
Answers from yesterday’s NYT Strands (Friday, November 21, game #628)
- ALIGN
- PIVOT
- INTERRUPT
- LIAISE
- SCALE
- DEVISE
- SPANGRAM: CORPORATE SPEECH
