NYT Strands Today (Game #594): The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands game number 594 are…
- DETOUR
- CLOSING
- ALARM
- CLIMATE
- CONSTRUCTION
- SPANGRAM: RUNNINGLATE
- My rating: Easy
- My score: 1 track
After getting the corner words DETOUR and CLOSE, I had a hard time understanding what the topic was about, so I set out to get random non-game words (there were some good ones today) and use a clue.
The clue gave me ALARM and it was only then that I realized we were looking for reasons/excuses why we might be LATE to work.
DETOUR covers a lot of ground on this list and covers most of my late moments; the others are cats, rain and lactose intolerance.
