- LIONS
- ANTS
- GEESE
- CATTLE
- PRIDE
- HERD
- ARMY
- HERD
- SPANGRAM: INITTOGETHER
- My rating: Hard

It wasn’t until I completed the list of animals that I realized this was a matching game, with one half of the quest matching the other.
All very clever, but this was not a game without frustrations. I needed a clue to start and struggled to see the spangram until the end of the game.
It doesn’t matter, since I got there in the end. Also, the inclusion of the word GEESE prompted me to play my favorite song of the year, Taxesfrom the band of the same name. It’s magnificent. I’d like to think that secretly that was the reason for today’s search.
Answers from yesterday’s NYT Strands (Saturday, November 29, game #636)
- WHEEL
- PULLEY
- Axel
- SCREW
- LEVER
- CRADLE
- PLANE
- SPANGRAM: SIMPLE MACHINE
