NYT Strands Today (Game #588): The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands game #588 are…
- SPADES
- CUPS
- WHIST
- BRIDGE
- PINOCLEUS
- EUCHRE
- SPANGRAM: TRICKS
- My rating: Hard
- My score: 2 tracks
This game played a real trick on me, which is ironic considering the spangram.
I started out thinking that “following the suit” must mean suits of cards and after getting SPADES and HEARTS I easily started looking for diamonds, clubs and a wild card. After finding none of this, I decided to follow a clue of the non-game words I saw, which gave me WHIST.
The spangram and BRIDGE were easy to spot, but the last two card games really confused me. Another clue helped me narrow things down, something I needed since I had never played either PINOCHLE or EUCHRE.
Answers from yesterday’s NYT Strands (Saturday, October 11, game #587)
- PEACOCK
- ARCHES
- APPLE
- DIANA
- SHELL
- WHISTLE
- SPANGRAM: ICONICLOGOS
