It possibly says a lot about me that I quickly skimmed through yesterday’s crossword-themed Strands, but struggled to get to the end of this clearing-based quest. Anyway, I think this was a particularly difficult game.
“Get out, damn place!” was a curious topic and one that initially made me wonder if I was missing a pop culture reference: a line from 101 dalmatians maybe?
Even after receiving SPRAY, SCRUB and BLOT, the penny didn’t drop and I needed a clue to move forward. I also found the spangram harder to find than usual. More like cleaning chores, I couldn’t wait for it all to be over.
