NYT Strands Today (Game #290): The Answers
The answers to today’s 290th Strands game are…
- DRYER
- LAND
- TIRES
- AMERICAN FOOTBALL
- GRINDER
- BALLERINA
- SPANGRAM: SPINNERS
- My rating: Moderate
- My score: 1 track
Congratulations if you managed to see BALLERINA today. I was eyeing Strands for years until I got it. It was one of those words where I tried out words that I knew weren’t words, like ERINABALL and NABALLERI.
In this case, although you understood the topic immediately, the words were still unexpected. Spinning isn’t the first thing that comes to mind for a FOOTBALL, right?
This all reminds me of the time we had these expensive new swivel chairs in the office. At first everyone hated them and thought they were ugly and pointless, but in the end we all recovered.
How was today? Send me an email and let me know.
Yesterday’s NYT Strands Answers (Tuesday, December 17, Game #289)
