There are many great robotic lawnmowers heading your way this year. I took a look at new models from major brands at CES, and it looks like lawn robots are seriously leveling up this year (and I also wrote separately about the robotic lawn mower trends of 2026 that I think could make these automated garden assistants really popular).
So, which models piqued my interest the most? Of all the lawnbots I saw at CES, these are the three I’m most looking forward to trying…
1. Mamotion LUBA 3 AWD
The predecessor of this lawn robot blew my author’s mind when he tested it for our Mammotion LUBA 2 AWD review. The 2026 version is very similar, but a little better in all aspects; To me, it looks like the lawn robot to beat this year.
One of Mammotion’s USPs is its Tri-Fusion navigation system, which combines three navigation technologies, so that the lawn robot can choose the one that best suits each situation and (theoretically) never ends up losing its way. Thus, there is traditional satellite-based navigation (ideal in wide, open spaces), LiDAR (ideal for narrow areas with obstacles) and camera-based Vision (perfect for precise object recognition).
All of those technologies have had an upgrade in the LUBA 3. The satellite positioning has been changed, so there is now no need for a separate RTK station, which eliminates a big setup problem. Mammotion now promises ±1cm positioning accuracy and the ability to react almost instantly to the environment.

2. Segway Navimow i2 AWD
In the compact lawn robot corner of the market, the one to keep an eye on is the Segway Navimow i2 AWD. It’s far from the flashiest of the 2026 fleet of robotic lawnmowers, but it has some clever tricks that help it stand out from competing models.
All-wheel drive (AWD) is rare in compact lawn robots. Here, it’s not to scale particularly treacherous terrain, but to allow the robot to treat your garden with the care it deserves.
A Segway Navimow representative explained to me that on non-AWD lawn robots, the wheel tread can drag on the grass when the robot needs to turn. Having each wheel driven independently eliminates this problem. You can make the fork rotate at the top of each neat strip of grass without disturbing the grass.
In addition to this, Segway Navimow has added an “adaptive drive” feature to maximize battery life. Basically, the front idler will only be motorized when specifically needed; The brand says this can increase run times by up to 30%.

3. Roborock RockMow X1 LiDAR
My third choice is a bit curved. Roborock is known for making some of the best robot vacuums out there – it unveiled its first lawn robots at IFA in September 2025.
I haven’t had the chance to try any of the debut lines yet (it’s not mowing season in the UK) but I’m intrigued to see if this brand can work its robovac magic in the field of lawn robots. At the top of my test list is the Roborock RockMow X1 LiDAR, which is a new addition to the range in 2026.
LiDAR in lawn robots will be one of the big trends of 2026, but it is typically used as a complement to satellite navigation technology. It’s very rare for a robotic lawnmower to not use satellites at all, but that seems to be the case with this new Roborock model.
The RockMow X1 LiDAR uses LiDAR and VSLAM for guidance. These are two important robot vacuum navigation technologies, so Roborock has a lot of experience in its back pocket to draw from. LiDAR builds a 3D map of a space by bouncing light off obstacles, so it won’t work in open, non-enclosed gardens. However, in yards that have many obstacles and features, it could be ideal.
