Officials have published the cause of the death of the first English Premier League The player George Baldock, who was found dead in a pool in his house in Greece in October.

Bladock was born in England and played for Sheffield United for seven seasons, three in the Premier League. He signed with Panathinaikos Football Club, a member of the Super League Greece, in 2024, making an appearance for the club only three days before his death.
He appeared in 12 games with the national team of Greece and appeared for the last time in a game in March in a match against Georgia in the Playoffs euros of 2024.

“There are no words to describe the human pain caused by the news of the premature loss of one of our young people,” said the Greek Football Federation in a statement at that time. “This moment requires silence. Condolences to his family. Condolences of his second family. Goodbye.”
