- Users have problems with pixelsnap ring support
- Is separating after a few days in some cases
- We are not still sure how widespread the problem could be
We were pleased to see the launch of Google Pixel 10 with the full support for wireless load standards Qi2 (magnetic and everything similar to Apple Magsafe, but it seems that some of the official accessories are already being found with problems.
As reported by 9to5google and others, the pixelsnap ring support that Google does is starting to separate for some of the first users. You can see a couple of Reddit publications that describe problems that occur after a few days of use.
The stand comprises a ring and a load pad, and can function as a flat loader or as a support with the two open components. The problem seems to be with the screws around the hinge that are released, which means that the charger no longer works as a support.
At this stage, it is difficult to evaluate how widespread the problem could be, but it is not a great aspect for Google quality control. We have asked Google comments about the informed problems and we will update this story if we have news.
If you have already bought a support, it can be worth taking a look at the screws and tighten them if necessary.
It is not the first problem
PSA: Do not use pixelsnap ring support without a R/Googlepixel case
For now, Google has not officially said anything about a failure with the accessory, and the Pixelstand ring stand is still available on Google Store. We will update this story if that changes.
There are numerous third -party alternatives to the pixelsnap ring support if you are looking for something that underwent your Pixel 10 phone while loading it: Case Makers Spigen, Ringke, Anker and UAG have similar products for sale.
It is not the first problem we have seen with the recently updated wireless load standard on Pixel 10 phones: a couple of weeks ago, users reported problems with older wireless loaders connected to new phones in the Pixel 10 series.
Taking into account that we have waited so long for the MAGSAFE style load on Android (Samsung is expected to update its phones soon), it is a shame that the introduction of technology has not been soft, although it seems that only a couple of screws are guilty here.
