Urban Meyer was one of the most successful university soccer coaches in recent memory, since he led the Buckeyes of the state of Ohio and the Florida Gators to the national championships before moving away from the game.
Meyer revealed during a sermon in Columbus, Ohio, in a non -confessional church that threatened to leave school after his idea of having a church service before team meetings on Sundays. He said he wanted to “take the church” to the players who did not have time during the week.

The former coach said that the university lawyer told him that he was not allowed to have a biblical study or allowed him to have a religious service. He recalled that he promised to do it anyway.
“I said: ‘I am very busy, we are doing it.'” He got our director of Athletics, “he said. Gene (Smith) is approaching, I have not told this story many times. But he approaches … and he says ‘ok’, and I said ‘Gene, we are doing this, if not, you have to let me go’. He says: ‘We are fine, let’s talk.’

“So, the commitment was that we had to call it” reflection. “I don’t know, in this day and age, from 18 to 21 years, we took every second of his time. How do you not?”
Meyer trained the Buckeyes from 2012 to 2018. Buckeyes were the winners of the First National University Football Playoffs Championship in 2014.

He had 83-9 as a coach of the state of Ohio. He retired from training in the middle of an investigation on whether he knew of accusations of abuse against the assistant Zach Smith. Ryan Day took over there.
Meyer trained the Jacksonville Jaguars for 13 games before being fired in his first season.
