“We play every night to improve, to become a better group ourselves,” said Gilgous-Alexander after the game, through ESPN. “And that is why we have achieved this early. That is why we have been the fastest team of 60 victories in the history of the franchise.
“No matter what we have done in the past, what we have achieved, if we focus on using the opportunity in front of us to improve, we have to look at the end of a season and be better, and that is all that can control.”
The young stars of Thunder have exploded this season to help take Oklahoma City to the top of the league. Gilgous-Alexander leads the league with an average score of 32.8. Jalen Williams is averaging 21.3 points per game. Holmgren, Aaron Wiggins and Isaiah Hartenstein are averaging at least 11 points per game.

Oklahoma City won 60 games once during Kevin Durant-Russell Westbrook years. Another victory will break the Thunder Mark for most victories in a season. The Seattle Supersonics won at least 60 games three times. The largest number of victories was 64 during the 1995-96 season, which the team ended up losing in the NBA finals against the Chicago Bulls.
The team will not have to face Michael Jordan if the players get so far, but the Cleveland Cavaliers have been the best team in the East Conference so far and are about to win 60 games themselves.
