Olympic skier Ryan Cochran-Siegle collected Team USA’s latest medal on Wednesday, capturing a silver in men’s super-G alpine skiing.
Cochran-Siegle clocked 1:25.45 and finished 0.13 seconds behind Swiss ski star Franjo von Allmen, who won his third gold medal at the Cortina Games in Milan. Swiss Marco Odermatt won bronze.

For Cohran-Siegle, it is the second Olympic medal of her career. She won a silver medal in the same event at the Beijing Olympics in 2022. She placed 14th in superG in her first Games appearance in 2018 in Pyeongchang.
He finished 18th in downhill earlier in these Olympics.

Americans Sam Morse, Kyle Negomir and River Radamus also competed in the super-G. Morse finished in 23rd place with a time of 1:27.12 and Negomir finished in 26th place with a time of 1:28.62. Radamus did not complete the course because he slipped and fell from his position. He seemed frustrated with himself as he skied toward the officers near his side of the hill.
Cochran-Siegle, who is from Vermont and skis for the Mount Mansfield club, made her World Cup debut when she was 19 years old. But he hasn’t finished better than seventh in the superG in his career. He’s done for these Games and will cheer on his ski buddies the rest of the way.

Negomir will compete in giant slalom and team medley later in these Games. Ryder Sarchett will also compete in the giant slalom. Negomir and Radamus competed on the combined team and finished 18th.
