The authorities auctioned one of the three “illegally” properties transferred to former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi on Monday, according to the corruption reference of £ 190 million presented by the National Office of Responsibility (NAB) against the couple and some other defendants in December 2023.

A Court of Responsibility in Islamabad on January 17, 2025 found Imran, Bushra and other accused of corruption and sentenced the founder of PTI to 14 years in prison. Bushra Bibi received a seven -year prison sentence. Last week, NAB had decided to auction the properties.

According to a public notice issued by the Assistant Secretariat of Commissioner Uzair Ali Khan, the three properties: 405 Kanales of agricultural lands in Mohra Noor; A 16 Kanal motel plot in Club Road and 248 kanals of agricultural lands, put themselves at auction.

The notice asked those who wish to participate in the auction to present a payment order of RS5 million in the name of the President of the National Responsibility Office (NAB). It also allowed interested biders to inspect property before the auction.

He also declared that the relevant Patwari would provide all the details to the participants and that the auction would be carried out under the terms and conditions approved by the Evaluation Committee.

The auction was scheduled for 11:00 am on Monday, but the auction committee arrived at 5:39 pm later, the 405 Kanales of agricultural lands in Mohra Noor de Bani Gala were auctioned at a rate of RS3.42 million per Kanal.

In reaction to the matter, the general secretary of the PTI, Salman Akram Raja, led X, stating that the news of the alleged auction of the property of the Bani Gala of the founder of PTI emerged only today. “If it is true, then it is the result of a secret action,” he said,

Raja declared that the administrators of the Bani Gala did not know the matter and that PTI’s legal team was working to reach the end, with precise details that will be revealed soon.

Later, in another publication, he clarified that according to the findings of the legal team, the reference of NAB NO 19/2023, entitled State Vs Imran Khan, commonly known as the case of Al-Qadir Trust, involves other defendants who have been declared fugitives and proclaimed criminals.
