- There is evidence that UI 8 beta is expanding
- Support could return to Galaxy S22 phones
- A complete software launch is expected in July
Samsung One UI 7 (based on Android 15) has only been widely available for a couple of months, but the beta test program for an UI 8 (based on Android 16) is already in operation, and soon it could also be expanded to more Galaxy phones.
At this time, he needs a Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus or Galaxy S25 Ultra to enroll in One UI 8 Beta, but users have also seen preparations to allow the Galaxy S23 and the Galaxy S22 Access too.
Samsung has not yet said anything officially about this, but it is a strong clue that One UI 8 Beta will not be exclusive to Galaxy S25 phones for much longer. Presumably, Samsung Galaxy S24 phones will also be included in the expansion.
One UI 8 Beta opened last week, and can be registered through the application of members on your Samsung phone. It may be an idea to continue reviewing the main page of that application if your phone has been inclined to join the Beta program soon.

Great news !! Galaxy S23 Series: The official website of the UI 8.0 Beta Samsung community has been created, but so far only in Germany. It has not yet been found for the United States, the United Kingdom, Korea, India or Poland pic.twitter.com/maapky9May 31, 2025
Here is a warning, which is that the Beta One UI 8 program is currently only available to users in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and South Korea (where Samsung is located). It is not clear if the program will expand beyond those countries.
There may also be problems with the capacity: as Sammobile reports, the Beta program in the United States was filled over the weekend, so that new users could not register. However, at the time of writing, new users are now accepted.
Samsung has confirmed that an UI 8 will be included in the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7. Since these folding are expected to be revealed at some point in July, it seems that this will be a long -term beta.
There is much to wait in an UI 8. The software update will bring with it a better multitasking support, telephone safety improvements, file exchange improvements, Samsung Internet settings and Samsung reminders, and much more.
