- OnePlus has confirmed that OnePlus 15 will be launched worldwide
- The Chinese phone manufacturer also revealed a new edition of Sand Storm of the new telephone, with a new material in the frame.
- The phone is likely to be launched in China before other markets
OnePlus has confirmed that the recently revealed OnePlus 15 will be launched worldwide and will wear a new design and color option labeled as a sandstorm.
The company revealed the new black phone during a recent Qualcomm event in China, but this is the first time we have heard of the new sand storm design option. According to OnePlus, this is more than a new colorway and adds micro arc oxidation (mao) to the frame and camera housing.
The MAO process creates a layer of crystalline oxide in metals such as aluminum or titanium, which can offer additional protection against wear. OnePlus says that this coating is 3.4 times more difficult than a half -frame aluminum and 1.3 times more resistant than an average frame titanium.
In addition, the phone’s rear panel will be made of fiberglass, an increasingly popular option due to its light weight and strong resistance. It is not yet clear if these design specifications will apply to all OnePlus 15 models, or only the Sand Storm edition.
Faithful to its name, the Sand Storm edition of OnePlus 15 comes in a sandy beige color, and although the design itself has not landed the best reactions, I am a great admirer of this subtle color.
Although OnePlus says that the new phone will be launched worldwide, it is likely that the new phone will be launched in the company’s internal market before going international, according to previous launches.
The current generation OnePlus 13 is our choice for the best Android phone that money can buy (naturally, it is also classified as the best OnePlus phone). His fast performance, excellent cameras and the ridiculous battery life saw him shoot at the top of our classifications when he launched internationally in early 2025.
So, the OnePlus 15 has some large shoes to fill. We have not yet been awarded full specifications for the new phone, but we do know that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset of the next generation and the new Detailmax Image Processing Motor of OnePlus will have.
