Quetta: A search operation is being carried out to recover the commissioner of Ziarat, Muhammad Afzal, and his son who were kidnapped a day before during his visit to the Zezri tourist place, the encumbrances said on Monday.
The unidentified gunmen had kidnapped in the air conditioning, their son, gunman and driver on Sunday, but then released the last two.
According to the attached commissioner Ziarat, Zakaullah Durani, the assistant commissioner had gone to a picnic point when the assailants held them, along with their gun and driver, at the tip of the gun, The news reported.
The kidnappers then released the gunman and the driver, but they took the assistant commissioner and his son, fleeing from the scene after burning the official vehicle.
The security forces and the local administration cordoned off the area and began a search operation, but so far no progress has been reported in the recovery of the kidnapped.
It is worth noting that two months ago, the commissioner assistant Tump, Mohammad Hanif Norzai, was also kidnapped.
The alleged kidnapping occurs when Baluchistan, along with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has faced the worst part of the increase in terrorist incidents witnessed by the country in recent times.
Both provinces share a border with neighboring Afghanistan and have faced attempts to infiltrate terrorists.
Last week, the security forces fired 47 terrorists backed by the Indians during separate Zhob operations that tried to infiltrate the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
According to a report published by the Institute of Conflict and Security Studies of Pakistan (PETSS), a group of experts based in Islamabad, the country witnessed 78 terrorist attacks during the month of June, which resulted in at least 100 deaths.
Among the deaths were 53 security personnel, 39 civilians, six militants and two members of the local peace committees.
A total of 189 people were injured, including 126 members of the security forces and 63 civilians.
In total, violence and operations led to 175 deaths in June, including 55 security personnel, 77 militants, 41 civilians and two members of the Peace Committee.
