Karachi:
Health and safety officials promoted a sigh of relief when the 35 -year -old American woman, Onijah Andrew Robbins, who has been receiving psychiatric treatment in JPMC, was declared appropriate to travel and downloaded on Friday night.
She was escorted to the Women’s Police Station by a women’s squad from where she was taken to the Jinnah International Terminal and put a flight back home.
Previously, hospital officials confirmed that the arrangements for their trip, including the necessary documents and an air ticket, were pending the United States Consulate General in Karachi. Once the procedures were completed, it was sent.
The hospital had been in regular communication with the Federal Research Agency (FIA) and the US diplomatic mission regarding its return.
Robbins, who traveled to Karachi to be with a young man who fell in love with JPMC Psychiatry Ward a week after his love was abandoned. The initial medical tests and psychiatric evaluations brought her to her transfer to the Special Care Unit. On February 3, she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
