Opposition lawmakers vow to continue the sit-in until the jailed PTI leader is shifted for treatment.
ISLAMABAD:
The sit-in by opposition lawmakers outside Parliament House and KP House entered its third day on Sunday, as protesters demanded that jailed PTI founder Imran Khan receive urgent medical treatment for his eye condition. The demonstration began on Friday and continued despite government assurances.
The lawmakers, led by Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Opposition Leader in the Senate Allama Nasir Abbas, vowed that the sit-in would not end until Khan was moved for specialized care. Protesters have cited reports that his vision in his right eye has deteriorated significantly and have demanded treatment in the presence of his family and personal doctors.
Police deployed barbed wire and blocked access routes to the KP House, and media personnel were not allowed to enter the protest sites. Unionists said provisions such as food and water were limited for lawmakers inside Parliament.

On Saturday, government officials said they had decided to transfer Khan to a hospital and form a medical board to oversee his care, and that specialists would carry out further eye treatments and submit a detailed report to the Supreme Court. The PTI, however, rejected any transfer without the consent of family members and personal doctors.

We do NOT accept any medical boards that they establish and control!
We DO NOT accept any report or results that…
