Pakistan’s passport offices throughout the country will face an offensive against the mafia of the illegal agent that operates outside its facilities.
Passports General (DG), Mustafa Jamal Qazi, has instructed all regional passport offices that present daily monitoring reports to the headquarters, as part of the intensified action against agents, said Express News.
A special headquarters will also make surprise visits to guarantee compliance.
The measure occurs after the reports of increasing illegal activities by passport agents, who have been exploiting citizens by illegal profits.
In a recent action, an agent was arrested outside the garden passport office in Lahore, and a case was filed against him.
The DG has also appealed to the public to cooperate with the authorities in the fight against the agent mafia by quickly informing any illegal activity they observe.
Qazi assured citizens that government efforts are aimed at eliminating delays and corruption in the passport issuance process, which makes it more transparent and efficient.
“By expanding the scope of passport offices and guaranteeing operations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, our goal is to offer citizens an easier and more worthy experience when obtaining passports,” added the DG.
Last month, 24 -hour passport counters had been established in the mega centers of Nadra throughout the country.
In compliance with the orders of the Federal Minister for the Interior Mohsin Naqvi, the Passport Department established 10 passport processing counters in the Mega Centers of the Data Authority and Registration Registration (NADRA) in the Nazimabad areas and the Karachi site , specifically in Siemens Chowrangi. Citizens can now take advantage of services in these accountants throughout the day.
According to the Director General of Immigration and Passports, Mustafa Jamal Qazi, the 24 -hour passport processing counters will be expanded throughout the country. The Islamabad office has already been operating 24/7.
The Karachi Awami Markaz and Lahore’s Garden Town offices are now open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for citizens. The delay in passport broadcast has been completely addressed, ensuring a soft and timely process for applicants.
Previously, the Government made this decision to reduce congestion in the central passport office by providing alternative centers for passport services.
The initiative was ended during the recent visit of Director General Passport Mustafa Jamal Qazi to Karachi, where the plan to establish passport offices in the Nadra centers was discussed.
