The box of the Minor League of the Orioles of Baltimore, Luis Guevara, died, the team announced in a statement on Tuesday night. I was 19 years old.
Guevara was a victim in a Jet motorcycle accident in Lido Key, Florida, Fox 13 Tampa Bay reported, citing team officials. The Florida Fishing and Wildlife Commission said that two water motorcycles with two people on board collided with each other. The four people were sent to the water.

Guevara later died in a hospital, according to the station.
“Luis was a beloved member of our organization, and we are devastated after his tragic death. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and teammates and ask for his continuous privacy during this difficult time,” said the executive vice president of the Orioles and general manager Mike Elias in a statement.

Guevara joined the orioles in January 2023 as an international free agent of Venezuela. He was playing Campocorto, third base and second base while making his way through the Agricultural System of the Orioles.
He played for Orioles Orange in the Dominican Summer League for two years. It began in 2025 in Double-A with the Chesapeake Baysox of the Eastern League, but moved to the coast of Delmarva de la Liga de Carolina Single-A and later the team of the League of the Florida Complex of the Orioles.
