Oscar Piastri found himself entering the Miami Grand Prix of Formula One in the middle of a fight to knock Max Verstappen as the world pilot champion.
With Piastri focusing on the championship, doing anything else seems crazy. Even following the steps of other F1 stars that have decided to assume a challenge in the Indycar circuit. Piastri said on Saturday that he has no interest in trying Indy 500.

The McLaren star said it was not for him, and added that driving in F1 was always the dream for him.
“In addition, those guys are crazy. I think, for me, the speeds … the walls are so close that you must trust the people around you,” he said, through Indy Star. “Crass A car F1 at the speeds that hurts us.
“Add another 20 to 30 mph … basically they go to 20 mph faster as an average speed than our maximum speed. It is not a matter of hurting, it is a matter of how much it will hurt.”

Piastri has a nine -point advantage in his McLaren teammate, Lando Norris, when entering the Miami Grand Prix. Verstappen is 19 points behind Piastri in third place. George Russell and Charles Leclerc complete the first five.
The Indy 500 is scheduled for May 25 and will be seen in Fox for the first time.
Marcus Ericsson and Alexander Rossi ran in Formula one before. Pato O’ward, Christian Lundgaard and Felix Rosenqvist were among those who ran in formula 2 or formula 3 during their careers.

For now, Piastri will seek to keep himself and the McLaren racing team at the top of Table F1.
