Oura’s ring has just been updated, and now it could be an even more intelligent way to track your health.

The Oura ring is one of the best smart rings, which gives you a deep information board about your health, all from a high -tech ring on your finger. Now, its manufacturer has announced a lot of updates to make the activity monitoring and the movement more precise and useful.

Oura says that these changes, which describes as “a set of algorithms and product updates improvements” have been requested by the idea that “the entire movement counts.” To that end, you can expect a range of different settings and new features in a variety of types of activity.

For example, the Oura steps counting algorithm has been updated so as not to estimate the steps and, instead, work more as a pomometer, which makes it more precise, while the measurement of active calories has been improved to consider the intensity of the movement (measured using its heart rate). The heart rate information of the Oura partners (such as Google Health Connect and Apple Healthkit) will now be included in the activities that matters from the applications and platforms of these partners.

In other places, the detection of Automatic Oura activities now works at any time of the day or night, even in the early hours. If you want to add an activity or training of the last seven days, you can now do it too, and your preparation and activity scores will be modified accordingly.
