The Pakistan Airport Authority (PAA) denied that Sunday’s media reports affirm that Islamabad’s International Airport will be closed for eight days, fire them “incorrect and deceitful.”
PAA said that flight operations will only be suspended at two -hour intervals on specific days to facilitate rehearsals for independence day celebrations on August 14, he reported Payment television citing a PAA statement.
According to a notice to aviators (Notam) issued by the PAA, temporary flight restrictions will be applied during the following periods:
All other operations will continue normally. Passengers have been advised to communicate with their airlines to obtain updated schedules to avoid discomfort.

PAA said temporary closures are part of security and logistics preparations for the official Flypast of Independence Day.
Meanwhile, as the 78th Independence Day of Pakistan is approaching, a wave of green and white is sweeping throughout the country, exuding patriotic fervor, emotional pride and historical memory.
The national flag falls on the houses, private and official buildings before Independence Day, and the bazaars and the streets are illuminated with green and white lights in celebration.
