The political financing arm of the cryptocurrency industry, the imposing financing entity of the campaign known as Fireshake, launched another $ 1 million in the coffers of a candidate for the special elections he hoped to replace a Virginia Democrat who died in office, representative Gerald Connolly.
The candidate favored by the main political action committee of the industry, James Walkinshaw, won the elementary calls of the Democrats Fire House during the weekend, in which the party conducted its own surveys to determine its candidate chosen between a nine field. The general election to formally select the next member of the Congress of the Fairfax County region is scheduled for September 9, although the Democratic head took about two thirds of the vote in the regular elections last year, giving Walkinshaw a great advantage.
“We hope that James will join the growing bipartisan coalition in Congress that includes the importance of ensuring the leadership of the United States in the next generation of technology,” said Josh Vlasto, a Fireshake spokesman, in a statement. He argued that the race again showed that the electorate does not move for critics trying to tarnish candidates who show support for the sector and are backed by their campaign resources, as at least one of the Walkinshaw opponents tried to do.

Fairshake makes massive “independent expenses” in political races, which means that your external money buys advertising without approval or communication of the candidate. Although it represents cryptographic interests, advertising bought by the group almost never mentions the issue of digital assets, instead of focusing on any political point it is more likely to obtain a victory.
