Karachi:

The Pakistani pilgrims who leave Karachi and Islamabad for Hajj this year will benefit once again from the “Road To Makkah” initiative, which speeds up immigration procedures before departure.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has issued a letter to the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), instructing officials to guarantee all the necessary arrangements for Hajj operations at the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi and Islamabad International Airport.

According to a letter from the Saudi Royal Embassy to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, immigration services will be provided once again at Karachi and Islamabad airports under the way to the Makkah initiative. Pilgrims traveling from these cities will complete their immigration procedures in Pakistan instead of reaching Saudi Arabia.

The CAA has been directed to guarantee the appropriate arrangements for the initiative, including the assignment of space designated for Saudi Immigration personnel and provide all the necessary facilities. As a result, pilgrims traveling from Islamabad and Karachi will not need to go through immigration when landing at Jeddah or Madinah airports, since their processing will already be completed in Pakistan.

The road to Makkah aims to facilitate a softer and more convenient trip for Pakistani pilgrims, reducing waiting times and guaranteeing efficient immigration procedures before departure.
