Pakistan and UK hold ministerial talks

ISLAMABAD:

Pakistan and the United Kingdom on Tuesday convened ministerial-level development talks between Pakistan and the United Kingdom to promote a partnership of mutual interest.

These have been the first development talks at ministerial level since 2017. The talks were led by Federal Economic Affairs Minister Ahad Khan Cheema and UK Minister of State for International Development and Africa Baroness Chapman of Darlington, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.

Also present at the talks were Bilal Azhar Kiyani, Minister of State for Finance and Jane Marriott, British High Commissioner to Pakistan, besides senior government officials.
