Islamabad:
Pakistan and Azerbaijan have signed a cooperation memorandum aimed at strengthening bilateral collaboration in the legal and judicial sectors. The agreement was formalized during an official visit to Baku by the Minister of Law, Azam Nazeer Tarar, according to an official statement.
The MOU, signed between the Ministry of Law and the Justice of Pakistan and the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan, establishes a framework for cooperation in areas such as legal reform, institutional exchange and the rule of law.
During the visit, Tara met with the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov. Both parties emphasized the growing role of legal diplomacy in the progress of mutual interests and the improvement of bilateral relations. He also conducted detailed discussions with the Minister of Justice of Azerbaijan, his excellence Farid Ahmmov, focusing on legal modernization and the exchange of institutional experience.
In a separate meeting with the President of the Court of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan, Inam Karimov, the two parties discussed the judicial reform, the digitalization of the judicial systems and the improved dispute resolution mechanisms.
The signed Mou describes cooperation in promoting the alternative dispute resolution, the digital transformation of legal services and the exchange of legal knowledge and best practices. Both Pakistan and Azerbaijan reaffirmed their commitment to deepen institutional ties and work together to support the continuous reforms of the Justice sector.
