Pakistan closes its airspace amid Indian exercises

KARACHI:

Pakistan closed its airspace adjoining India for two days on October 28 and 29 from 6 am to 9 am, according to a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued by the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) on Monday.

The restriction applies to several routes within the Karachi and Lahore flight reporting regions that border Indian airspace. The PCAA has notified all airlines and aviation operators, recommending caution during the restricted period.

Sources said the decision was taken in view of Indian military exercises reportedly being held near the Pakistan border.
