ISLAMABAD:

The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister on Monday said that Pakistan remains firmly committed to eradicating the menace of terrorism.

Dar made these remarks while greeting the nation in a message on the occasion of Pakistan Day.

Pakistan’s actions inside Afghanistan against the threat of Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij/TTP are directed towards this objective, he said.

“Our brave sons of the land are sacrificing their lives in their quest. We pay tribute to our martyrs and heroes, who have made supreme sacrifices to better our collective future,” he added.

Pakistan and Afghanistan clashed after Islamabad launched airstrikes against terrorist hideouts inside Afghanistan. Afghanistan subsequently launched coordinated attacks on Pakistani outposts, leading to an active confrontation between the two neighboring countries.

On this day, the DPM/FM said that they could not forget their Kashmiri brothers and sisters and the exceptional sacrifices they made in their pursuit of the inalienable right of self-determination.

He said Pakistan remained steadfast in its commitment to provide moral and diplomatic support until the oppressed individuals of IIOJK achieve their right to self-determination.

He also extended warm greetings to his fellow Pakistanis living abroad and praised their patriotism, dedication and hard work.

“Every day they proudly represent Pakistan internationally and play a vital role in shaping the country’s future success,” he added.
