Pakistan has strongly rejected the recent comments of the Ministry of External Affairs of India with respect to Jammu and Kashmir Pakistan radio reported.
During his Weekly Press Information Session in Islamabad on Friday, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Shafqat Ali Khan, criticized the position of India, stating that the designation of Jammu and Kashmir (Iiojk) of the Indians has no legal value.
He reaffirmed that Jammu and Cashmira are still a “dispute territory” recognized by the United Nations, and their final state must be determined “in accordance with the relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council and the aspirations of the People of Kashmir.”
Answering a question, Khan said that Pakistan had taken note of the comments made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of India, who had leveled accusations against Pakistan.
He described the minister’s comments as part of a persistent pattern, stating: “It is unfortunate that Indian leadership at different levels continues to invoke Pakistan in his personal speech, revealing an incredible obsession.”
Khan also pointed out the irony in the Minister’s statement that he did not want to spend “precious time in Pakistan”, calling him “particularly ironic.”
Rejecting what he called the “continuous diatribe” of India about terrorism, the spokesman said: “The false narrative of India of being a victim cannot divert international attention from his sad history of human rights and his own participation in terrorism.”
He urged India to stop making “statements without foundation” and, on the other hand, concentrate on putting an end to what Pakistan sees as a forced 77 -year occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.
