The general director of Public Relations between Services (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry confirmed Thursday that the Pakistan armed forces intercepted and neutralized 12 Indian drones in multiple locations.
During an informative media session, the army spokesman said that on May 7 and 8, Indian drones tried intrusions in various parts of the country.
The drones were successfully neutralized in Lahore, Gujranwala, Chakwal, Bahawalpur, Mianwali, Karachi, Chhor and Atock, according to the ISPR.
The military spokesman described attempts as a continuous pattern of aggression and said that Pakistan’s forces remain on a maximum alert to defend the airspace and territorial integrity of the country.
Four Pakistan army staff was injured in an attack with planes not manned in Lahore, while a civilian lost his life in Miano, Sindh, he said.
