Islamabad: The Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, presented on Friday what he described as “one of the most active phases in the recent diplomatic history of Pakistan.”
When addressing a media conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the DPM shared details of its series of high -risk visits, policy discussions and multilateral commitments during July and August. He articulated a clear vision of Pakistan’s foreign policy priorities, rooted in regional peace, global connectivity, commercial revival and international defense of principles.
GIVed the Julio Presidency of the UN Security Council of Pakistan, during which he presided over multiple sessions, including one in Palestine.
“A unanimous resolution that requested a resolution of peaceful conflicts was adopted under the leadership of Pakistan, which was a diplomatic milestone,” he said.
In Washington, Dar met with the United States Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, on July 28 for a “frank and constructive” exchange on bilateral, regional and global issues. He also committed to Think Tanks such as the Atlantic Council, where his comments on judicial independence were, according to him, “misunderstood” by local political actors.
